Overall the average for Summative OSCE has been consistently above the minimum benchmark of 80% for all cohorts even when stratified by task areas in the latest year of data available. Students have scored consistently below the national average in Lab and Diagnostics, Clinical Interventions, and Forming most likely Diagnosis on PANCE.ģB: Overall average for End of didactic OSCE has been consistently above the minimum benchmark of 80% for all cohorts however when stratified by task areas in the 2021 cohort, it was revealed that the cohort had a score below the benchmark for Clinical Intervention (plan) task area. Students have scored consistently above the national average in Clinical Therapeutics on PANCE. Students have improved greatly scoring above the national average in all areas on PR II in 2019-2020 year. Goal 3: Provide the graduate with the clinical and technical skills necessary to provide competent medical care.ģA: Students have consistently scored below the national average in H & P, Lab and Diagnostics, Clinical Therapeutics, Clinical Interventions, Forming the Most Likely Diagnosis areas on PACKRAT I. Overall Program First time test taker PANCE rate is 93.75% for the first four cohorts.ĢB: Students in all cohorts have been scored above the minimum benchmark for Applying Basic Science Concepts, Health Maintenance, Patient Education, and Preventative Measures by their preceptors on the PES.ĢC: Students positively appraised their acquisition of medical knowledge in both didactic year and on exit survey although a drop in average Likert score from Didactic Preparation survey to exit survey was noted. Goal 2: Provide the graduate with the requisite fund of medical knowledge, in accordance with the NCCPA Blueprint, in order to provide evidence-based medical care in all settings.ĢA: Students have inconsistently demonstrated medical knowledge acquisition through academic score achievement on nationally benchmarked examinations including PACKRAT I (PR I), PACKRAT II (PR II), EORE, and PANCE. ![]() ![]() ![]() National average packrat score 2021 professional#Goal 1: To recruit students from medically underserved regions - in Appalachia and across the country - who have demonstrated commitment to academic and professional excellence.ġA: The Program has exceeded the minimum benchmark annually with students who have identified themselves as residing in the medically underserved regions in each incoming Cohort.ġB: The Program was able to meet the minimum benchmark for the admission year cohort 2021 with students identifying as Appalachian residency however, a three-year trend analysis shows the program below goal on multiple years despite preference given on applicant scorecard. ![]()
